Wedding planning update

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

I am finally getting back to wedding Wednesday posts on the blog! It’s been a busy couple months and now that our save the dates have been sent out and now that its Feb 🤯 its wedding crunch time with about 5 1/2 months left! I liked to think I was decent at planning events but when it comes to a wedding, it is totally out of my realm! But since it’s been a long engagement I am grateful that because I have had so much time, it’s been a pretty smooth process overall.

Things we’ve nailed down so far…

The venue! This was one of the very first things we did and surprisingly the easiest choice! We chose a stunning boutique hotel with amazing views of Seattle and the Lake Washington. Also, the hotel included so many elements such as the catering, tables, chairs, place settings etc. that it was no brainer to go with a venue that included so many elements. Super excited to be headed there at the end of the month for our food tasting!

We’ve also booked the photographers, a husband and wife duo that have shot some amazing scenic wedding photos and were actually familiar with the area!

My dress! After trying on so many dresses, I finally found the one that had all the details I was looking for! I am so happy with it and have my first fitting next month!

I booked my hair and makeup artist pretty early on, she nailed my brows and overall natural look I was going for during the trial and it worked out perfectly since she is super close to the venue!

We’ve also booked the DJ and florist! Currently pinning tons many floral design ideas on my Pinterest!

We still have yet to finalize the cake, (we have a tasting booked) book our honeymoon and many more things I am probably missing!

Also jsut booked a glam black and white photo booth, I was on the fence about this decision but if I was going to book a photo booth it was going to have to be the Kim K esque one! 😉

I would say the overall style I am aiming for is elegant and classic with a feminine touch, featuring hues of pink, white and gold!
