Happy wedding Wednesday! I wanted to share some of the items we added to our registry.

Since Michael and I have both lived in 3+ cities in the last 5ish years, we actually hadn’t invested in high quality home items so we couldn’t be more excited to have all the home-y things when we eventually move into a home together. I really wanted to include Michael in this aspect of wedding planning so we set aside an evening where we cooked dinner together, enjoyed some wine and scoured all the items at various retailers.

Over the weekend we attended a wedding registry event with Crate and Barrel to get some ideas on what to add to our registry. It was so fun to be able to shop the store privately and see some of the items in person I had already added to our registry! One thing Michael was really interested in finding were high quality cooking knives. He was able to test out hand made chef knives from Shun Cutlery which are handmade in Japan.

The Knot has made registering a breeze! You can easily sync registries from various retailers so your guests can browse all your gifts in one place. I loved the registry checklist which gave us some ideas of items we should add.

The retailers I knew I have registered with are Amazon and Crate & Barrel and The One Registry Collective which allows you to add items from across the West Elm, Pottery Barn, and Williams Sonoma brand family. The One Registry made it so seamless to have a single registry with items from these three retailers.

Based on the checklist and reviews from past couples, we really wanted to add items that we would use daily in our future home and that matched our style… hence all the white marble lol! We made sure to add items in wide price ranges to accommodate various budgets. We also learned that guests like to go in on big presents as a group so be sure to add high and low priced items!
