For the Brides: White dresses

Hi everyone! And happy Wedding Wednesday!
As promised I wanted to share a weekly wedding related post for other brides who are also planning a wedding along side me! It’s no secret that 2022 is about to be the busiest wedding year with so many postponed weddings due to the pandemic. I am fortunate enough to not be COVID bride but of course little bits of worry still linger in the back of my mind… but I am so fortunate that many venues and vendors have some kind of pandemic insurance in place! lol (yes its a real thing thing now)
A bride to be is supposed to wear lots of white for all the events, showers, bachelorette, the wedding weekend but I always hear from my friends that white is so hard to pull off! While I am fortunate enough to be tan enough to wear white, I think there are a variety of factors that help you look your best even in your not so ideal color.

Here are some tips to looking best in white:
If you’re more fair, getting a spray tan or applying self tanner does wonders!
Certain styles can make you look larger or wider than you really are. Know your angles! If you can try on as many styles to see which is is the most flattering for your figure.
Wear nude colored shoes! Can’t stress this enough especially if you are wearing a shorter white dress. It elongates your legs and keeps the focus on you and the dress vs the shoes.
Rouching in the waist create a slimming effect and more dimension in your figure.
Find jewelry that enhances the dress and doesn’t overpower. Experiment with different types of jewelry, even styles you don’t typically go for. You never know until you try!
Makeup is crucial! Keep it simple and natural so it enhances your overall look not overpowering. ie. I would avoid super bright lip colors and eyeshadows when wearing white. Go one shade brighter than your natural lip color.
