How he proposed... {2/14/21}

WE’RE ENGAGED!! 💍
To start off the Wedding Wednesday series, its only appropriate to share how he proposed since today marks two months since Michael proposed and about a month ago we announced on social media. Every time I look down at my hand I can’t help but smile! I always wondered what it would feel like when you made the decision to spend forever with that special someone and when it finally happened it was more than I ever imagined!
Michael proposed on Valentines Day with the sweetest proposal at home. We had been snowed in all weekend and while I had somewhat of an idea it was coming, I didn’t know how or when he would propose. Michael woke up early on Valentine’s Day and had flowers, balloons, candles, my favorite wine and chocolates all laid out on the counter. We each had cards for each other and while at the bottom of his card it said ‘Will you marry me?” and while I was reading the end of the card I looked over and he was down on one knee! *cue the tears I teared up and felt like my heart was going to burst with joy. Also, I will note that this was at 8:30 am LOL! We immediately called/ texted our families and we enjoyed a nice dinner that evening at home with wine and candles. It was intimate, romantic and very us. While we wanted to share immediately on social media, I wanted to revel in the happiness just us and enjoy being engaged. Also, because everything took place at home and in my sweats 😂I also wanted to wait till we had photos to share! We had previously shot with Gina Borud, so it was the easiest decision to have Gina capture our love in photos. We can’t wait for our second shoot with her for our save the dates!
My ring: A solitaire radiant cut in a pave basket setting on a super fine diamond encrusted band. I had loved the radiant style and had shown this style to Michael a while back and he nailed it. I absolutely love it! 💍
Little story of how we met: A little back story on how we met… A year and a half ago, I was waiting outside a restaurant for a table with a friend and Michael and his friend were walking out of that restaurant, he spotted me, walked right up and said ‘Hi' and the rest is history! Turned out he had family in the Seattle area had even lived in Seattle prior to us meeting! We did long distance for a couple months, (Michael in Idaho and me in Seattle) then the pandemic happened and with everything going remote, we were able to take the leap and be together in the same city. I have never been so sure of a decision and couldn’t imagine life without Michael he truly is my soulmate. ❤️️
I can’t wait to take you along my wedding planning journey! Stay tuned!! 🤩
