Travel guide to Scottsdale, AZ
Jean Ahn
Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!
A few weeks ago I was in sunny Arizona for the Waste Management Phoenix Open and I had such a blast! The weekend also collided with Superbowl Sunday so I stayed in Arizona an extra day to enjoy the Superbowl Sunday festivities. Arizona will always hold a special place in my heart since I went to college there ( What up Sun Devils) and have some of the best memories! January/February is the absolute perfect time to visit! The weather is perfect ( think sunny and 75) and of course for the Phoenix Open which I used to frequent as a college student which is still such a blast to attend. 🥳
Since I have gone back to Arizona a handful of times I wanted to share with you some of my favorite spots in the Scottsdale area! This time we stayed at the Hotel Adeline and it is the cutest little boutique hotel which has some super instagrammy spots!
Some of my favorite spots to eat and drink
El Hefe- This spot was always a favorite at the end of college and it is still a blast! They play fun music and it gets pretty wild! You can also find an El Hefe in Chicago which is also super fun too!
Bottled Blonde- Another one of my favorites, fun atmosphere and great music!
Maya- This day and night club has been a favorite for the last couple years! Daytime they have some great pool parties and at night it transforms into a club and it’s a great time.
W Scottsdale Pool- The pool deck is amazing with lots of lawn chairs daybeds, cabanas and just a really fun atmosphere. I’ve been here a handful of times and even planned bachelorette festivities at this pool!
Toca Madera- Perfect for a date night, you can expect traditional Mexican cuisine with a modern twist with some eclectic, bold flavored cocktails!
Barrio Queen- Had some of the best Mexican food here and they make fresh guacamole right at your table.
Scottsdale Quarter- Love this little outside shopping area located in the north scottsdale area. Lots of shops and charming restaurants all around. I always try and come visit this part of Scottsdale every time I come visit.
Ohso Brewery: If you’re looking for good brunch visit Ohso! So delicious and perfect if you love beer! They have 36 beers on tap and a weekend brunch that includes a 10oz beer or monster mimosa with any entree!
RnR Gastropub: I used to frequent here on the weekends for brunch in the last years of college and its still such a popular, bustling spot in Old Town. You can expect delicious brunch entrees and cocktails for the perfect Saturday or Sunday Funday!
Hope these recommendations help if you’re headed to Scottsdale anytime soon. The best months to visit Arizona are from October to April!
That’s all for now! 😀Let me know of any other spots you love in Scottsdale down below in the comments!
