The best Items of 2020
Jean Ahn
Hi! Hello everyone!
It’s hard to believe it’s the last day of the year! Despite all the highs and lows of the year its still mind blowing how fast the year went by. 2020 was quite the roller coaster but I believe it really helped all of us to step back and take time to reflect on what’s really important in our lives. ❤️️
Even though 2020 consisted of cancelled trips, endless amounts of Netflix and face time calls, I took note of things I actually used all the time and still use today!
UV light phone sanitizer: This year we were constantly reminded to wash our hands and sanitize but it’s so easy to forget about our phones! We touch them constantly and its a breeding ground for bacteria and germs. This sanitizer device kills 99.9% of all bacteria and germs on your phones, airpods, headphones, credit cards, keys, wallet etc. I also like this and this.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask: I’ve talked about this a ton, in this post and this post but I can’t recommend it enough! Out of all the chapsticks and lip balms, this one is THE best! I struggle every winter with dry, cracked lips and this has been my life saver! *Pro tip- the applicator it came with broke after a couple months and I use a brush to apply and I personally like my own lip brush compared to the applicator.
Slip for sleep pillowcase and mask: You’ve probably heard a ton about the benefits of sleeping on a silk pillowcase but if you’re not familiar, basically sleeping on a silk pillowcase prevents wrinkles, frizzy hair and overall less drying for your face and hair. For something you’re going to sleep on every night, I believe it is worth investing in high quality satin. This set is currently 25% off!
Kopi mug warmer set: I am a slow coffee drinker and many times I have a quarter left and my coffee is cold! Love how chic and sleek this mug and warmer is, plus you can also use the charger to wirelessly charge your phone too! It also comes in a bunch of other colors too!
At home Dip Nail Kit: Ever since quarantine I’ve probably gotten my nails done at a salon maybe twice. Chipped nails are such a pet peeve for me and with the current circumstances I didn’t want to be frequenting a nail salon every 2-3 weeks. I found this dip nail kit and starting doing dip nails on my own and it actually turns out pretty well! The key is to buff your nails before you apply a THIN layer of base! It takes about 40-45 minutes but it is nice to do your nails in the comfort of your own home and also a great way to save money too!
Himalayan salt lamp night light: My parents have a few of these salt lamps around their house when I was younger and thought they were quite fascinating. Himalayan salt lamps have so many health benefits such as improving air quality, boost your mood, help with sleep and release negative ions in the air. You read more about the benefits here. I found the salt lamp in a night light and its been great for my sleep. It creates a calming atmosphere and I have noticed I am getting better quality sleep!
Ugg Slippers: These are the most comfortable slippers that stay on your feet! Super plush and fluffy, perfect for the cozy days spent at home! These are a bit on the pricey side but the quality is superb and will last for a long time!
Barefoot Dreams Blanket: Ok, you have probably seen every other blogger talk about this blanket and the hype is real! The blanket is buttery soft and super long so you can literally wrap yourself up in this blanket. I was gifted one for my birthday and use it everyday… well more like Michael has stolen it and wraps himself in it every night. 😂He said the main reason he loves it so much is because it doesn’t make him too hot while he sleeps! So there’s your next birthday/anniversary/Christmas present for your guy! Also select colors are 25% off right now at Nordstrom!
Slip for Silk Scrunchie: Continuing the silk trend, using a silk srunchie is much better for your hair! It reduces breakage and creases and perfect for sleeping! I typically sleep with my hair in a messy bun and used to use a regular hair band but after switching to a silk scrunchie I notice my hair is less frizzy and creases. This pack of 3 comes in a few other colors and patterns too!
Those are some of my favorite products I have been using non stop this year! Comment below some of your favorites! 😊
